Panchkula would soon have a Software Technology Park, an announcement in this regard was made by Union Communication and Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad in Panchkula on Saturday. Prasad said this in his address during the launching of e-services through CSEs in Haryana. Union Minister also announced the establishment of National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology in Kurukshetra and 1000 BPO’s (Call Centers) in rural area of Haryana.
Parsad said that the Government is committed to providing online services to all people of the country under Digital India Program launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, last year.
On the occasion, 105 e-services through Common Services Centers, New e-services and portals, Haryana my gov, CRS based Aadhaar linked birth registration in Haryana and National Optical Fibre Network in Faridabad District also launched by the Union Communication and Information Technology Minister. He said with the launch of these e-services people of Haryana will get common services in easy, cheap mode and save the time also. These services will also bring transparency and corruption free services to the people.
Ravi Shankar Prasad also inaugurated SMS Alert Service for the State of Haryana. Sharon Shefali Gupta, Controller of Communication Accounts, apprised that in the interest of public, through this SMS alert service the Telecom Service Providers like Airtel, Idea Reliance would send the SMS giving information of the important helpline telephone numbers of Police, Women Helpline, Ambulance / Accident and Emergency & Disaster Management Service etc. to all the mobile subscribers on entering the jurisdiction of State of Haryana.
Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar, Education Minister of Haryana Ram Bilas Sharma, Finance Minister of Haryana Captain Abhimanya and Member of Parliament from Ambala, Ratan Lal Kataria were also present.
