No fitness certificate to vehicles without High Security Registration Plates in Haryana

In Haryana, fitness certificate will not be granted to any vehicle unless the High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) is affixed.

The government, on Friday, issued directions to all Secretaries of Regional Transport Authorities (RTAs) in Haryana to ensure at the time of  grant of fitness certificate that HSRP are affixed on the vehicles and.

Stating this, a spokesman of Transport Department reminded that the Department has already notified that vehicles operating without HSRPs would be challaned with effect from January 1, 2016.

The spokesman said that all Regional Transportation Authorities would get the vehicle photographed at the time of inspection for issuing fitness certificates, These photographs of vehicles would also capture the number plate of the vehicle and vehicles without HSRP would not be granted fitness certificate. He said that affixation of HSRP would also be ensured at the time of renewal of the permit.

The spokesman said that all the RTA offices would maintain a proper daily record of the number of receipts issued for affixation of HSRPs in all Regional Authority (RA) offices in the districts and the number of HSRPs affixed. Weekly report would also be sent to the office of Transport Commissioner and Secretary, Transport Department, he added.
