Generally the perception is, to top one has to sacrifice everything including the games. However, nine students of Manav Mangal School, Panchkula have, besides excelling in their respective sporting events, performed well in the CBSE class X examination also. Two of them have equally worked hard on games to get gold medals in Gymnastics at state level and perfect 10 CGPA in academics.
Abhinandan and Aagman, both the students of Manav Mangal School took out time to work hard on their academics after winning the gold medals. Both of them have got perfect 10 CGPA in class X examination of CBSE, result of which was declared by CBSE on Saturday. Seven other students of the same school participated in state level games after winning medals at district and block level, too scored 10 CGPA in the examinations.
The Manav Mangal School Director Sandeep Sardana said that they have set an example for others on how to maintain a balance between sports and academics. These students made their school proud throughout the year by winning medals at district and state level competitions. And now their performance in studies is also outstanding, Sandeep Sardana said.
Two other students of the same school, Shivam Modi and Sagar Verma have also scored 10 CGPA. They were from Economically Weaker Section. However, this did not hamper their spirits and the also outperformed many others.
The overall performance of Manav Mangal School students was also excellent. Of total 229 students appeared in the examination, 81 have scored 10 CGPA. While 86 have scored CGPA of over 9.8, total pass percentage was 100 percent. Total of 133 students have scored CGPA of 9.0 and above.
