Meritorious students would be admitted to private schools under Rule 134-A and the government would give funds to such schools.
This was stated by Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal while interacting with media persons on the occasion of release of a book entitled as ‘Yaadon Ke Jharokhe Se’ authored by former Minister Jagdish Nehra, in Chandigarh where he was asked to comment about Rule 134 A.
In reply to another question concerning a recent incident in Rewari, he said that incident of Rewari had also happened one or two years ago. This being a specific incident, the people should sit together and resolve it. He said that he is hopeful that if people of both villages come forward to discuss the issue, it would be resolved. He said that school of the village would also be upgraded up to class VIII and hoped that the people of both villages would reach the settlement.
On being asked about development works in NCR, the Chief Minister said that the pace of development works in NCR has picked up and one section of KMP Expressway had been inaugurated and work on other section would soon be initiated.
When asked to comment about groupism in Congress, the Chief Minister said that the Congress was born in groupism, it kept functioning in groupism and would come to an end in similar circumstances. He said that if they play the role of opposition, it reflects democracy. Now one more group has been added and groupism would remain as such, he added.
