In view of the pilgrimage to Shri Amarnath ji Shrine in Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana Health Department has constituted committees at district level and at the level of sub-district hospitals for issuance of compulsory health fitness certificates to pilgrims.
While stating this on Thursday, a spokesman of Health Department said that district level committee would be headed by the Principal Medical Officer or Medical Superintendent and have Physician and Orthopedician as its members.
He said that Senior Medical Officer or Medical Officer would be Member Incharge of committee constituted at the level of sub-district hospital. Physician and O Orthopedician would serve as members of this committee. He said that in case Physician or Orthopedician are not available in sub-division hospitals, they can be deputed from other areas.
The spokesman of Health Department said that Civil Surgeons have been directed to ensure that the doctors write their Medical Council of India registration number and name while issuing the compulsory health fitness certificate. Private hospitals have not been authorized to issue medical certificate, he added.
