Punjab and Haryana High Court has dismissed the anticipatory bail plea of liquor baron, Shiv Lal Doda, allegedly involved in a brutal murder that took place on his farm house in Abohar on December 11, 2015. Both hands and legs of Bhim Tank stated to be former employee of Doda, had been chopped off.
Shiv Lal Doda alias Sholly, who had been booked on the charges of criminal conspiracy, had denied his hand in the killing and had stated to be in Delhi on the day of murder.
Opposing the bail plea of Doda, senior advocate Anupam Gupta had argued that the gruesome incident at his farm house was a message to his previous, present and future employees that any defiance won’t be tolerated.
Pronouncing the order in the court, Justice MMS Bedi on Thursday, held that the investigating agency had stated in its contention that Doda could be required for further probe into the matter. The detailed order on the bail plea of Doda is still awaited.
