Haryana Government constitutes committee for compensation of loss during Jat quota protests

With a view to settle claims of Rs 1 crore and above for compensation of loss of property damaged due to law and order disturbance in Jhajjar, Hisar and Sonepat (Gohana) at the earliest, the Haryana Government has constituted a seven-member committee under the chairmanship of the Additional Deputy Commissioner concerned, in each of these districts.

Stating this here on Saturday, Urban Local Bodies Minister, Kavita Jain said that the committees have been constituted for the assessment and settlement for the loss or claims of commercial or residential properties damaged due to law and order disturbance for the claim cases of Rs 1 crore and above, and insured claim cases.

She said that each committee would include an HCS officer appointed by the Deputy Commissioner concerned, DETC (Sales Tax), XEN (Buildings and Roads), Fire Station Officer/Incharge, Senior Account Officer and the President of the Market Association as Members. In addition, the Deputy Commissioner concerned may also nominate additional officers as per their requirement.
