The 4-member committee constituted by the Haryana government on the issue of reservation being demanded by the Jats, would submit its report by March 31, 2016, this was stated by the Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal on Monday.
The Chief Minister, said this while replying to the questions of media persons in Rohtak on the issue of reservation being raised by the Jats in the state.
The Chief Minister said that the government would take action on the basis of the report of the committee headed by Chief Secretary. The committee was constituted after consultation with all concerned and it would submit its report after considering all aspects concerning the Central and State Governments, Law and decisions of the judiciary.
When asked about his reaction on criticism by the opposition, he said that it’s their job to criticize.
Some organisations including Yuva Jat Fauj of the Jats and the OBC Brigade of Haryana have been carrying out an agitation for the restoration of reservation facility for the Jats.
