As goodwill gesture Haryana supplies electricity to a UP village

As a gesture of goodwill, Haryana government has supplied electricity to village Dikka Tapri which falls in Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, across Yamuna River.

It is only after the freedom of the country that the residents of this village have got the facility of electricity.

Haryana Chief Parliamentary Secretary and MLA Radaur, Shyam Singh Rana, MLA Yamunanagar, Ghanshyam Dass Arora, Deputy Commissioner, Dr S. S. Phulia and Executive Engineer of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN), Yamunanagar, H. P. Sharma together press the button to supply electricity.

The villagers were very happy and grateful to the Haryana government for this kind gesture. Shyam Singh Rana said that he had promised the villagers to supply electricity and their demand has been fulfilled.

It was informed that electricity connection of 600 KW has been given in the village. The power department of Uttar Pradesh would supply electricity to 300 households in the village. The Power Department of Uttar Pradesh has deposited Rs 11.84 lakh with the UHBVN.

The Uttar Pradesh Power Department would pay the bill as per the monthly consumption of the electricity.
