Manav Mangal School, Panchkula celebrated “Appreciation Day’ on Saturday with great zeal and fervor in their school auditorium. Lt. Gen. (Retd.) P.K. Grover, was the Chief Guest for the occasion.
The function began with ‘Prayer Dance’- an invocation of Lord Ganesha amidst holy chants of mantras lending a mystic charm to the atmosphere. It was followed by a melodious welcome song ‘Wonderful Day’ performed by tiny tots of Kindergarten. Education is important for all of us. This message was conveyed aptly by students through a Qawwali-‘PadhnaLikhnaJaruri Hai’.
We as citizens of India have a duty to keep our country clean and develop a better civic sense. An action song on the same theme was beautifully showcased through ‘Rights & Duties’ which was appreciated by one and all. Our earth is a blessing of God’s magnificence which we should preserve. ‘Paradise’a beautifully synchronised dance put forth this feeling and called on to conserve our rich heritage.
Little angels promised to become the ambassadors of love when they sang together ‘Heal The World’ to promote harmony and universal brotherhood. The cultural bonanza concluded with an energetic, foot tapping number ‘Champions’ which won the heart the audience, making them sing along.
Around 50 students were awarded during the prize distribution ceremony for performing exceedingly well in academics, sports and cultural events. The shining starlets of the school, Kartikya Sokhal, student of class III was awarded for winning gold medal in 11th National Choi Kwang-do-championship, while Abhinandan Nandrajyog was felicitated for securing first position in Art Olympiad at the National level. Nine other students who secured first position in Haryana in various Olympiads were also honoured. The Principal of the school, Sandeep Sardana lauded the efforts of the meritorious students who had been giving outstanding performance in various fields.
