Haryana Government has decided to exempt payment of entertainment duty on the film ‘Pagdi The Honour’, which would release on April 22, 2016.
While stating this in Chandigarh on Tuesday, an official spokesman said that a proposal to this effect has been approved by Chief Minister, Manohar Lal.
The spokesman said that the shooting of the film was in consonance with Haryanvi dialect, traditions and customs. He said that the movie focuses on social awareness and eradication of social evils such as honour killing. Besides, the film is based in Hisar, he added.
It is the first Haryanavi film that has won two national awards. It has bagged the award of best film (Haryanvi) and also has won the best supporting actor (female) award in 62nd National Film Award.
