Interactive literary discussions marked the launch of three Hindi books ‘ Anta- Kahani Ek Zamane ki’ by Rajbir Deswal IPS ‘Kaash dekh paate ham’ by Dr Dinesh Dadhichi and Roshan Verma’s ‘Haryanvi Cinema’ by Justice Pritam Pal Lokayukta Haryana in the presence of Justice Raj Rahul Garg, Neelam P Kasni IAS and other dignitaries at the Moginand police complex Panchkula on Saturday.
The main focus, however, remained on the book- “Anta- Kahani Ek Zamane Ki”, the sixteenth literary gem from the ubiquitous pen of super cop litterateur Rajbir Deswal IPS for its ornate factual account of the life and living of his sleepy village of Anta in the form of first part his autobiography.
Referring Deswal as the literary exponent of Haryanvi rural culture chief guest Justice Pritam Pal complimented him for reliving the genuine simplicity, innocence, aspirations, hopes and sorrows of the peasantry through the pages of this literary realm.
Six eminent scholars offered their analytical views of three the books. Dr Taruna Taru read out an exhaustive paper on the book. Eulogizing Deswal as the literary face of Haryana police Dr KP Singh IPS delineated author’s concern for his native village. Prominent poet Madhav Kaushik observed that Deswal was the first author to write his autobiography, though for a specified period and lauded the poetry of Dr Dadhichi. Dr Chander Mohan Bhargav, Dr Dinesh Dadhichi, Sagar Deswal also spoke on the book. Poet Shams Tabrezi conducted the programme.
