Chandigarh police starts Youth Skill Development under community policing initiative

Chandigarh police has started Skill Development program for the youth and children of colony in Sector 25, Chandigarh. Tajender Singh Luthra, Inspector General of Police, Chandigarh inaugurated the program at the Community Center, Sector-25, Chandigarh.

A community policing initiative “YUVASHAKTI” is a Skill Development training program for the youth of colonies who will be imparted with skill oriented courses like plumbing, electrician and other skills. Initially 108 youths and children will be trained over a period of 120 days free of cost.

Speaking on the occasion, Tajender Singh Luthra said ‘these kinds of training will enable the youth to learn skilled courses and will open door for their better livelihood’. He appealed to the parents for sending & motivates their children to attend skill development training program.

Dr. Sukhchain Singh Gill, Senior Superintendent of Police, Chandigarh along with other officers of Chandigarh Police was present on this occasion.
